THE VICTORY TOUR...Wednesday Georgetown Lake

We’ve had a quiet day at Georgetown Lake, save for the excitement Luanne created this morning. We were getting ready to hike up the mountain on what turned out to be a black diamond cross country ski trail when I heard all this yelping and hollering next door.

She had knocked her can of Bear Spray off of her air conditioner, right outside of her camper door and the whole thing exploded! There was orange, oily bear spray flying everywhere. The wind took it to Diane’s camp site and soon they were both choking and trying to get away from it. It really is nasty stuff. Luanne had to scrub down her camper, put all the clothes and shoes she had on into a sealed plastic bag. If it works this well on bears we should be OK if we can stay calm enough to spray it at one!!!

  1. Now, that's just a little too much whip hopping! Who are you, the three stooges??? Glad no one (including pups) was bothered too much except for smell.

You might want to look in an army navy store or a sports store for bear spray--about 40 dollars, but I don't think it would explode that easily--I could be wrong, and it should have burned eyes, badly. I gave mine to John for his cabin.

Definitely get another can on your way to Glacier. And, I'm hoping ya'll see a moose!

There's going to be some laughter around future campgrounds when you're finished with this trip!
