Do you plan to take the ferry across the bay to Dauphine? If you get a nice day, it's a nice ride. Taking the truck was expensive, but we found the greatest white sand beaches. The Gulf was as rough as the Atlantic. Susan and I also took a ride to Pensacola via the road along the beach and went to the historic part of town. There's is a neat little place to have lunch right near the park. We ate on the patio and the waitresses ooohhhed and ahhhed over Jack. Of course, he loved that.
Reading your blog is giving me a bad case of hitch itch. It just occurred to me that I'll have to buy a dehydrator for Jack's sweet potatoes.

Planning to take the ferry and spend day in Mobile at the Bellengrath Gardens. Looking forward to the trip over there.
